While there are many papers used in book production, there are certain papers which are used specifically in the production of high quality books. These papers have been selected because of their durability and flexibility which allows the books to open flatter, and last much longer. These premium papers also allow for excellent image quality and accurate color reproduction.
Below, we have listed our premium in-stock papers as well as the types of books these papers are used in:
60lb Offset White
This paper is used primarily in books containing black printing. This paper is commonly used in novels, poetry, memoirs, family history books which are printed black and white (also known as grayscale). If a color section is required, the section to be printed in color would commonly use the 70lb. Cougar Opaque paper.
70lb Offset White
A substitute for the 60lb Offset paper. For those who prefer a heavier paper. Mainly used in family or community history books which contain either black or color printing.
60lb and 70lb Offset Cream
A cream colored paper used in place of the 60lb and 70lb Offset white if the cream color is preferred. The cream colored papers are not recommended for color printing as the cream background can substantially alter the colors in photographs.

Our most common paper used for color printing. Mainly used in children’s books, full color family history books, yearbooks, etc.
80lb Cougar Super Smooth

100lb Cougar Super Smooth
